So, what did I do 'til 2AM the other day? It's shameful.

I typed in "Blake Griffin's Top Plays" into the YouTube search bar. Wanted to watch videos of him playing basketball. That led to watching Chris Paul's Top Plays  Nike Pro Drills  NBA Dunk Contest  Jeremy Lin's Music Picks  Kobe Bryant vs. Matt Barnes. And so on. I just kept clicking and clicking and clicking...

Dear Little Sis.

Dear Little Sis,

I don't know who you are yet, but I'm excited to meet you.
I hope they match us up fairly quickly~ I know it's an intense process, so I'll try my best to be patient.
Maybe this is what families experience when they're waiting to adopt a child. Maybe not.

I can't wait to go to the movies with you~ It's one of my favorite things to do! Maybe we can watch "The Avengers" or "Snow White and the Huntsman" together! But, I'm open to anything (except horror, I don't watch those anymore).

If you like basketball, we can go to a Clippers game together and watch Blake Griffin dunk the ball. He's great. Have you been to Disneyland? If you haven't, we can go together! I love it there. It's so fun~ Wow, there are so many things I want to do with you already!!

I don't know who your parents are, what school you attend or what your dreams are - but, I'm excited to find out. I hope you're excited to meet me too.

I'll see you soon.

"I have always tried to make it clear that basketball is not the ultimate. It is of small importance in comparison to the total life we live. There is only one kind of life that truly wins, and that is the one that places faith in the hands of the Savior." - John R. Wooden

Remember libraries and card catalogs?? I do. I wonder if libraries still have card catalogs...
Probably not...computers have most likely taken over. Sad face.

Blast to the past: My mom used to take me to the San Bernardino County Library everyday after school in elementary school. It was my favorite part of the day.

As soon as my brother and I got out of the car, we'd run inside the library to the card catalog section. We'd run our fingers through the cards to find whatever book we felt like reading that day. It was a lot of fun.
**My brother and I used to have secret competitions to see who could carry the most books. Obviously, I won. I was bigger. Heh. Then, we'd hide in a corner (and my mom - haha) and read our books silently (with occasional laughter) until my mom found us. Haha.

Fun times. Miss those days. I haven't been inside a library since last year. How very sad. I purchase all of the books I want to read at Target or Amazon nowadays. Now that I have a Kindle Touch, I don't know that I will ever need step into another library again. No! I have to. Must borrow a book. Will visit library soon. I want my children to have libraries! They're going to disappear...

Go to the library!
