pineapple upside down cake.

my pineapple upside down cake is in the oven.  first attempt ever!
hope it turns out yummy...
i've been wanting to make one for years and finallyyyyy - i did it!

i woke up this morning feeling really great because i didn't have anything planned.
it was nice to sit in bed with absolutely nothing to do, nowhere to go. i felt...free.
it was a really good day.

to end the night, i watched "abduction" with a friend at the dollar theater.
the reviews for this movie were terrible, but i still enjoyed it. it was fun. :)

yay my cake is rising! 20 more minutes to go!!

tomorrow, i bake butter pecan cookies!  i have all of the ingredients, but the pecans. must go to costco...

I'm reading "Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World" right now and I'm learning so much.  The best thing about this book + Bible study is that it is designed to make you open your Bible.  It's great.  Anyways, I just wanted to share something that touched me this week. See below.

He said, "The trouble with you is this: You have been thinking of the quiet time, of the Bible study and prayer time, as a factor in your own spiritual progress, but you have forgotten that this hour means something to Me also." 

Mind-blowing, right?  I know.
